I just got a tattoo about a week ago, if I go tanning in a bed will it effect the tattoo?
Is there something you can put on the tattoo to protect it if tanning does hurt it?

if you go in a tanning bed EVER with a tattoo it will be ruined. BAD idea. you can't even tan at the beach. if its still healing, dont even think of it yet.
if you decide to tan with a tattoo, you will need to keep the tattoo covered up. if its a large piece, just slather the entire thing up with sunblock, highest SPF you can get your hands on. if its small, they make sunblock for lips (like in a chapstick form). use that.
if u dont keep the tattoo protected, the colors will distort and it will fade. my friends black tattoo turned navy blue and looks like crap now. he needs to get the entire thing redone now.
